Business Development Manager for Publishing at Appodeal Stack

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to our publishing department. Our portfolio consists of casual games and we’re planning to enlarge it by finding new promising apps to publish.

Stack is an end-to-end SaaS-based solution that scales mobile app business growth and drives profits by synthesizing User Acquisition, Ad Monetization and Business Intelligence. Stack is an independent market player that strives to clear the way for publishers and advertisers to collaborate directly. In an industry known for being opaque, Stack aims to increase transparency and empower mobile app businesses with the technology and information they need to thrive in a highly competitive landscape.


  • Sign publishing contracts with promising studios which develop games;
  • Support and update process for identifying prospective leads for publishing using data from internal BI, marketing, AppAnnie/MobileAction, qualifying relevant publishers using metrics like DAU, retention rates, time per user per day, etc.;
  • Partner with leads throughout the entire sales cycle; oversee deals for the next 3-6 months;
  • Communicate the value of our product by evangelizing its unique benefits and walking prospects through detailed demonstrations and participating in industry conferences;
  • Collaborate closely with our tech, UA, and AM teams to check leads’ metrics via integration with our SDK and running soft launch; contribute to BI improvements based on client needs;
  • Leverage insights to tell compelling stories that position the company as a trusted partner to B2B leaders and their key audiences;
  • Continually measure, monitor, and drive improvement in sales approaches; employ industry best practices and look for opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience in early-stage start-ups;
  • Experience in game development/publishing sphere;
  • Minimum 2 years in Business development and track of successful records (with references and closed strategic partnerships in the past);
  • Fluent English. Other languages will be highly valued;
  • Ability to travel by air frequently;
  • Solid technical skills, ability to learn and demonstrate the value of new technology quickly;
  • Strong communication skills, ability to build a relationship with VP- and C-level creatively;
  • Naturally inquisitive to solving critical customer challenges;
  • Ability to successfully prioritize, balance multiple projects and manage complex work streams while consistently delivering results;
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves, self-starter personality;
  • The sophistication to navigate an enterprise sales process combined with the urgency required to hit quarterly activation targets;
  • Self-starter – ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly grasp new technology and product changes.

Preferred qualifications

  • Close relationships with mobile app publishers and their technology decision-makers.
