In an industry known for being opaque, Stack aims to increase transparency and empower mobile app businesses with the technology and information they need to thrive in a highly competitive landscape.

Stack’s Journey


Stack is the natural progression of a vision that emerged back in 2014 when our founder Pavel Golubev owned and operated a mobile apps publishing company called Alfa Productions.

Alfa Productions published more than 3,000 apps and monetized primarily through ads. Frustrated with the amount of time and resources it took to manage ad monetization, Pavel developed his own mediation tool that quickly increased total ad revenue by 270% — and gave rise to Appodeal.

Officially launched in January 2015, Appodeal was the first solution of its kind. It was an ad mediation platform created by publishers, for publishers — which meant that it was designed with the specific need to increase mobile ad revenue.

By 2017, however, the market had evolved and publishers were beginning to face different, more complex problems. So the Appodeal team began working on new innovative solutions that respond to publishers’ unique needs and scale in line with business growth.

In 2019, we launch a new robust set of solutions. Our offerings folded under one holistic brand called Stack.

Official launch of Appodeal, the first single SDK ad mediation platform.
Appodeal enters the U.S. market with a new office in San Francisco.


Appodeal receives $3 million Series A funding from Ximad, Lametina Holdings, Lucky Star Game, and other angel investors.
EMEA operations expand with a new office in Barcelona, Spain.


Appodeal becomes a member of the International Advertising Bureau.
Appodeal opens a new office at the High Technology Park in Minsk, Belarus.
Appodeal received $8 million Series B funding from Impulse VC and a range of other investors.
Launch of Parallel Bidding Technology.


Stack is introduced to the public.
